Annual Meeting

The ISFN 2024 Annual Meeting will be held at both the Dan Hotel and Queen of Sheba Hotel, Eilat.

The meeting will begin on January 14th at 13:00 and will end on January 16th at 15:00.

Post meeting event

The ISFN will host a 2-day microscopy workshop at the end of the conference (16-17th January) that will be focused on spatial light modulation (SLM) and related emerging applications in neuroscience. The workshop will include lectures from experts in the field as well as special hands-on demos for students, in collaboration and sponsored by THORLABS

The ISFN 2020 Annual Meeting will be held at the Queen of Sheba Hotel, Eilat.


The meeting will begin on January 5 at 13:00 and will end on January 7 at 13:00.

This year we will have two special events: 
1.Humboldt Kolleg (Support Pending) satellite event on January 4 evening and January 5 morning. The Humboldt Kolleg is a Joint Israel-German Symposium in "Molecular Neuroscience – from Genes to Behavior". It is open for all members and offer student scholarships (The scholarships will be offered to selected excellent PhD student poster presenters pending selection committee recommendation and Humboldt Foundation support). This Huboldt Kolleg satellite will be organized by Illana Gozes and Hermona Soreq.

  1. We will hold a workshop on microscopy methods with a special emphasis on “miniscope” and two-photon microscopy. It will be open for students and will be organized by Pablo Blinder and Yaniv Ziv. Special speakers for this workshop are Tristan Shuman and Denise Cai from UCLA miniscope team. For more information, click here

  • ·         If you are not a member, please fill in your details at https://isfn.org.il/members-friends/registration/registers. After a confirmation email, you will be able to register for the meeting.
  • ·         The registration fee covers meals, coffee breaks and all the social activities we will have during the meeting.

  • ·         Abstract submission and room reservation are available only after registration to the meeting has been completed.
  • ·         Only one representative from each laboratory may lecture in each symposium. If an abstract is not accepted as a
            lecture, the author will be  offered the opportunity to present it as a poster.

Dear ISFN Members and Friends,

I am glad to announce that the 24th ISFN Annual Meeting, due December 20-22, 2015, at Hilton Queen of Sheba Eilat, will be open for registration and abstract submission on August 9 2015.

A Chinese-Israeli bi-national neuroscience meeting, which is supported by the Sagol Neuro Network and Mr. Sami Sagol, will be held as an opening satellite event on December 19 evening and December 20 morning.

In order to start the registration process you must log in first. The login frames are located on the bottom left side of either ‘Annual Meeting’ or ‘Members & Friends’ page at the ISFN website www.isfn.org.il

Before starting the registration process, please read carefully the general information, instructions for registration and abstract submission at the ‘Annual Meeting’ section of the ISFN website.

The deadline for abstract submission is October 25, 2015.

The registration fees and abstract submission fees remain the same as last year (see ‘Registration and Hotel Rates’ under ‘Annual Meeting’ at www.isfn.org.il). Please make your hotel room reservation at the Hilton Queen of Sheba Eilat only via ISFN website www.isfn.org.il at ‘Annual Meeting’ > ‘Hotel Reservation’.

FENS Featured Regional Meeting 2015 - PROGRAM

  4. Password: any combination of letters and numbers (no less than 8 characters up to 10 characters). Please do not use your first name as password.
  5. If you have just joined the ISFN (Member Registration), you have to wait for your membership request to be approved (it may take up to 3 days). Only after approval you may continue with registration to attend the Meeting.
  6. If you logged out after registration, you must log in again. When you log in, your details will appear on the screen. Now you can continue by clicking on Abstract Submission and/or Hotel Reservation..
  7. You may continue to edit your abstract(s) (use the "Edit" function) until the deadline when abstract submission will be closed..
  8. Credit card payments only. Separate payment for each abstract.
  9. Abstract submission is limited to three abstracts per single registration
  10. Support for students:

    In addition to a lower registration fees and reduced Hotel accommodation rates, ISFN supports students and post-docs who present their work at the meeting. This support will be done by paying directly to the Hotel half of the accommodation expenses, based on 308 shekels per presenting student per night out of the two nights of the meeting
